Cel is defined by a singular unit interacting with a larger whole; be it the cells that make up an organism, the individual frames of hand drawn animation or how a secluded anchoress relates to god. 

Cel is an independent publisher based in South London. We are focused on releasing a mix of experimental fiction and interdisciplinary artist publications. We aim to make books that evade easy categorisation, with each publication being unique in form and presentation. 

Formed in 2024, Cel is run by Sam Watkins and Pete Phipps.
